CustomerReviews

windows 7 Home Premium compatability
Windows 7 is not compatable with ROXIO softwware , my dvd Drive or my all-in-one HP printer (even though the computer is HP) Would not have purchased this item had I have known beforehand.

More problems than it is worth
This is the first HP system I have owned. When it first arrived, its packaging and setup were excellent. It was very easy to get things going. However, since that time (over the last 2 months)it has been a much slower system than I expected with its processors and memory. Furthermore, I am constantly losing the ability to connect to the internet using its wireless support (other systems in my house do not have this problem). I have had to restore the system several times (on the advice of HP support) to reset the wireless support and get the system to reconnect to the internet. Overall, it has been a great disappointment. I would not recommend this system to others.

Simple nuances can go a long way...Its best to wait for the price & technology to balance itself
Who knew that the size of your fingers, nails & good eyesight can be crucial to enjoying this machine...Well, I was seriously considering to buy this product...and come to the conclusion that this is overpriced for consumers...I have been using a touchscreen computer at work, its best if the processor is at least quadcore, note not a dual core..one very simple example of its nuances is...if you have a screensaver, left the computer for about 5 minutes, dont expect the touch screen to recognize your fingertips...picture it as , its eyes half close , give it a nodge to wake it up ...and you're good to go until you let the screen saver take over again..

Slow and sluggish.
This computers performance is terrible. My old Net Book with Vista basic loads up faster than this HP touch. Windows 7 is better than Vista (ran on a mac anyway) but on this HP I can see no difference in this model running Windows 7 or the one with Vista Premium I also used. Launching programs takes forever, the internet browsing even with a top wireless signal just sucks, the display is decent but nothing special, the touch features barely work to make them worth using and forget running any medium to high graphics programs/games on this piece of junk because the video cards in these machines are the bottom of the barrel Intel Chipset Series which can run next to nothing released past 2004. These computers live up to HP/Compaq "quality" in every sense, expect to see blue screens/freeze upss frequently, every twenty mins with Vista models. AVOID!

Computer Great, Windows 7 causing some problems
We have no problem with the computer so far. Service and delivery from Amazon was great, We are first time Amazon buyers. Our friend talked us into trying it. It was hard to throw away the additional $150 it would have cost to buy the same model at Best Buy.

My only problem is this, several websites and portals that we interface with for my husband's work and children's school have not upgraded to interface with Windows 7. We have literally had to set up our old computer next to this new one to access the sites that will not interact with the new computer. No fault of HP or the computer but still a real bummer!!!!
